Topic: Retirement asset allocation and timing strategy

Given the last 10-years of market turmoil, how will you make it through your retirement years. This session help you fine tune your asset allocation and timing to provide a comfortable retirement. The presentation combines Investment Strategy and Financial Planning software. We use Investors FastTrack to construct classical asset allocation strategies and the project the impact of these strategies using Quicken Financial Planner.

Greta P Hicks, CPA, is a former IRS training manager and tax manager for Ernst & Young.  Ms Hicks has taught for the University Of Houston School of Optometry, Texas A&M Agricultural Extension Service, the Texas Society of CPAs, California CPA Foundation, plus dozens of other professional, trade and educational organizations.  Ms Hicks currently serves on the Editorial Board of  the Texas Society of CPAs and is Tax Editor of Today’s CPA.  Also, she is active on the TSCPA IRS Relations Committee and former coordinator of Houston’s IRS/Practitioner Study Group.  Greta is the author of www.CCH.com, Tax Research Service, Practice Section, “IRS Examination and Appeals Procedures;”  “Guidelines for Record and File Retention” AICPA’s 2007 Edition for MAP Selected Readings; and “More Than Money” reprinted by the Utah CPA Society.  In April 2007 Greta’s paper, “Due Diligence Defense,” has been selected to be presented to the Midwest Accounting Association
